Voting
Voting is a way to help out a minecraft server, and you can get some nice rewards on the server for doing so. You can find the links to the websites to do so either in the OtterSMP discord server under the links channel, or by using the /vote command in Otter SMP. When people vote 35 times, a llama party triggers. Also known as a vote party, it is a special event that can only be triggered through voting.
Llama Party
Llama parties are a special event that happens when the server reaches 35 votes. After 35 votes are reached, a message is displayed in chat telling players to go to /warp llama. Once there, players can smack a llama for loot. Rewards range from wood and lower-end tools to enchants and diamonds. The more players that are on the server, the more hits the llama has before it pops, and the counter is reset.
There are currently 8 active voting links. Voting also gives you a voting lootbox, seasonal currency, a common seasonal key, 15k in-game money, 250 claim blocks, and 8 golden carrots. There is also a chance for a lucky reward!
Lucky Rewards
Lucky rewards are rewards that you only have a chance of getting when you vote. The possible rewards as of the voting 2.0 update are:
Rare
- 2 Common Keys, 50%
- 1,000 Claim Blocks, 25%
- 2 Rare Keys, 25%
- 1 Overworld Trading Card Pack, 25%
Epic
- 32 Seasonal Currency, 10%
- 64 Seasonal Currency, 10%
- 3 Voting Lootbox, 10%
- 3 Exotic Keys, 7%
Mythic
- 1 Seasonal Crate Key, 5%
- 5 Voting Lootbox, 5%
- Otter Pet, 1%
Voting Lootboxs
Voting lootboxes is a special lootbox item that can only be obtained through voting, with each box netting you 2 to 3 items each. Like any other Otter lootbox, it contains both the standard items that can be found in any other box and items exclusive to it.
The voting lootbox is the only way to get the Jazmine Voter Plushy, and the Meed Voter Plushy. Its also a bit of an easier way to get the Vol. 2 Silverhaven Plushy Lootbox.
Voting Streak
Similar to the daily rewards calendar, players get rewarded for reaching a certain number of votes. Voting 8 times a day will even net you a Seasonal Key!
You can also receive extra rewards by voting a certain amount each month. With the accumulated number of votes resetting at the end of each month, be sure to stay on top of it if you wish to receive one of the rarer rewards. You can check how many times you've voted that month by using the /vote command in Otter SMP and checking the bottom of the opened screen where it says All Vote Links. The amount will be at the top of the box that pops up when you hover on it. The rewards and the required votes to reach them are listed bellow.
